The New Year begins much like the old one ended…with a busy schedule of worship and events at First Lutheran!
As we greet 2015, please keep these in mind:
Sunday, January 4: A German Christmas Concert by Saengerchor Boston begins at 3 p.m. Celebrate Christmas one more time before Epiphany, “auf Deutsch.” Pastor Dutzmann will participate by giving the invocation, homily, prayer and benediction. A reception follows (volunteers gratefully accepted).
Tuesday, January 6: An Epiphany worship service will be held at 7pm.
Wednesday, January 7: A special meeting will be held to review the report prepared by Rev. Dr. Cowan on FLC’s role in Campus Ministry in the greater Boston region. Copies of the report are available upon request from the church office or contacting the Parish Administrator The meeting begins at 7pm (a light meal will be served at 6:15pm) and we hope to have the presentation and questions and answers finished up by 8:30pm.
Sunday, January 18: Somewhat into the more distant future is our next Voters Meeting, scheduled after the 11am service. We look forward to having voters, those who want to be voters and members of the congregation join together to review and make decisions about the business of the church.
As the clock strikes midnight, it might be a good time to remember a very brief prayer often prayed by Pastor from the pulpit. “Lord, lead me…and give me the wisdom to follow!”
Happy 2015!
John Lindemann
Acting Parish Administrator
