Update from Pastor Dutzmann on Ted Aaberg:

Ted sent me a text this morning, asking me to call, which I did. A nurse picked up and asked me to wait a moment while they were getting Ted ready to speak with me. When he came on, he asked for “the Gospel to be shared.” I told him of the blessed Trinity assurance, the dual baptism we celebrated yesterday, how much he is loved by God and us, and that Jesus promises never to leave him. He said “I miss you all terribly” and “please give the congregation my greetings.” Then we shared the Lord’s Prayer and Benediction before he became too weak to speak further. I feel so blessed by Ted’s faith; he even said that “I know the Lord promises not to give me more than I can bear.” Wow, and this from the Intensive Care Ward at the Mayo Clinic!
