Adult Sunday Morning Bible Study
This summer, Pastor Dutzmann and Pastor Lantz team up to present a thoughtful series on Prayer. They examine famous examples of prayer from Scripture and consider prayer as a vital part of the modern Christian life. Pastor Dutzmann provides a preview here;
Given the momentous issues driving our culture today (many of which counter Christian morality and practice)… we will choose Biblical examples of prayer in specific circumstances, and then apply those learnings to constructing prayers, during Bible Study, which address the issues we face in our post-modern culture. I would envision each week’s effort to then be posted on our web-site as examples of how to speak the truth in love, with gentleness and respect, as Scripture encourages us to do.
…on the 14th and 21st I will deal with the topics of 1) praying for repentance and forgiveness, and 2) praying for those outside the faith, respectively.
Pastor Paul Lantz takes over on July 28th and August 4th.
When the followers of Jesus asked, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Christ shared what is known as the Lord’s Prayer. The Summer Bible Study series on prayer will take an in depth look at how Christ taught us to pray and how we can apply His teaching to our own prayer life.
