First Lutheran Church has the privilege of sharing neighborhoods with the French Cultural Center of Boston in the Back Bay. On November 16, the church had the privilege of sharing these words with our friends.
To our neighbors at the French Cultural Center of Boston,
Our congregation shares your sadness and grief over the recent terrorist attack in Paris. We mourn France’s, and the world’s, loss and pray for the families of the victims who perished and for those who were injured.
We also pray for the leaders of our respective countries and others, that they make wise decisions that maintain our freedom and liberty, and for those who serve to protect us here and abroad that they, too, might be protected.

“Just to come in Monday morning and to have flowers there left anonymously with kind notes is nice, and I hope that it helps create a space for people to share and process,” she said, gazing at a large bouquet of red, white and blue flowers that had been dropped off moments before by the First Lutheran Church, located just a block away on Berkeley Street
