Welcome back to Sunday School!
September 8th marks the beginning of a new Sunday School year. The Sunday School Opening for both adults and children takes place in the church basement promptly at 9:30! We start with an invocation, song, offering and prayer together before breaking into our separate classes.
Adult Bible Study
Adult Bible Study will be led by Audrey Johnson on Paul’s letter to the Galatians. What a great opportunity to learn more about the grace of God in Jesus Christ. If you participated in last year’s Romans or Law/Gospel study, you will find this to be a natural successor, building connections to the previous themes. If you are new to Bible Study, you will find Galatians to be one of Paul’s most inspiring letters. Martin Luther testifies to this in his commentary!
Children’s Sunday School
The children’s classes will focus on the Old Testament during the fall term. Beginning with David and Solomon, we will follow God’s people through the trials that came after David’s reign. After the Opening, the children’s program will continue with a music time in the sanctuary with Paul and Lisa Stiller. We then divide into age-grouped classes. This year’s classes are 2-year and under (with a parent!), preschool, grades K-1, grades 2-3, grades 4-7, and teenager. A bunch of great teachers and volunteers are waiting to share the love of Christ with your children! See you Sunday!
