We will be sponsoring a free-will offering on behalf of Pastor Landon and Dori Schkade on Sunday April 7th after both Divine Services. If you desire to help and were not able to on Sunday morning, please contact the church office. elaine.laaser@flc-boston.org The Schkades will be departing for Texas on April 15th after six years of ministry in Massachusetts. Pastor shared the responsibility for the Brazilian Services at FLC in the three year interim between Pastor Riss and Pastor Lantz, and he organized the New England District Mission emphasis which resulted in Pastor Lantz and his family coming to Boston!
Pastor does not yet have a Divine Call to a new ministry, so the moving expenses to join his daughter’s family in Amarillo, Texas are all out of pocket. Pastor and Dori will be greatly missed as they have always been there for us when we needed them.
Thank you for your prayers and support on their behalf! Pastor Schkade joined First Lutheran for the Brazilian worship service on Saturday April 4th and for a reception in his honor.
