Dear friends and members of First Lutheran,
My brother, Roland, just spent a couple of weeks in Baton Rouge ‘Restoring’ a church back to being able to function as a place of worship. Perhaps you’ve been thinking of a way to assist the people of that area in a ‘hands-on’ way. As you may know the LCMS has had a strong presence in this effort in New Orleans for the past ten years, and now, has added a Camp Restore in Baton Rouge. Both facilities offer free room and board for restoration workers for as long as they’d like to help out. Perhaps this is an opportunity the Good Lord has laid in your heart; and here are two great places to have those dreams become reality.
