First Lutheran Church of Boston is limiting the size of in-person gatherings at worship services to mitigate risk of COVID-19 transmission, in addition to implementing recommended public health guidelines. FLC continues to offer many opportunities for worship and personal devotion through our website and social media channels. Though many of us are not able to be together in person, we are united in the Holy Spirit through Our Lord Jesus, who has promised: behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20b.
Sunday Services and Bible Study
Beginning 6/21/20, Sunday services will be held at 8am and 11am. If you are interested in attending in person, please contact the church office for details – due to gathering limits, you must sign up prior to attending. The Sunday morning 11am service will also be livestreamed through our Facebook page. It will be available as a recording, both on the FLC youtube channel and the FLC Facebook live page, after service has finished. The sermon text, service bulletin, and a link to the livestream will be published on our website Sunday morning at 10:30am.
Pastor Hopkins will lead Bible study on First and Second Samuel via Zoom, broadcasting simultaneously on Facebook live, at 9:30am every Sunday.
Weekday Catechesis and Devotions
Paul Edmon will continue his Wednesday evening Lutheran Essentials study via his youtube page. Join him for the livestream version of the class at 7pm, or contact the church office if interested in attending in-person. He is currently covering Luther’s essay On the Freedom of the Christian.
Lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday service will continue to be published every Monday morning in a devotional format. Previous devotionals are archived here.
