On behalf of elected officers and staff members, I want to thank all First Lutheran Church members, friends and visitors for their generous contributions in 2012. Every dollar we receive is so important to make sure we are able to cover general operations, our special ministries, our ‘FLC family’ (i.e. ‘us’), and our physical assets (i.e. building, organ, altar, etc).
From a logistical standpoint, I want to let you all know that you should receive a Statement of Giving for your 2012 contributions by the third week in January. In addition, you should receive your 2013 ‘book of offering envelopes’ in the first week in January. Please note that some of you will be re-assigned new numbers in 2013, particularly anyone that has had a number over ‘200’. I will likely send a personal note to those of you who are impacted, in case you don’t get time to read this newsletter before then.
A final note on your ‘assigned number’: if you no longer care to use the envelopes, your number is still very important to us for tracking/accounting purposes. If you can include your number in the ‘memo line’ on your checks or online banking transactions, that would save the tellers a lot of time each week, and would be greatly appreciated.
