The Voters’ assembly of First Lutheran Church of Boston will be holding their regular May meeting after late service on Sunday, May 20, 2018. All members and friends are welcome to attend. If you are a member who would like to become a voting member, there will be an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting.
In addition to reports from Council, there will be elections to fill the posts of Secretary and Stewardship Chair. If interested in either of these positions, please contact our current Stewardship chair, Gretchen Gallimore gbgallimore@gmail.com, or the church office admin@flc-boston.org.
There will also be a report from the Long Range Planning Committee, headed by Brian Harms. This committee has used the results of our congregational self-assessment conducted in the fall of last year, as well as congregational survey and the March workshop feedback, to update the Long Range plan from approximately ten years ago.
In addition, our wonderful LYAC (Lutheran Young Adult Corps) members, who have been serving Christ with us since last fall, are finishing their tour of duty this month. They will present their work to the voters at this meeting, and we will send them off with our thanks and blessings.
Holding to our Lutheran traditions of food and fellowship, there will be a potluck lunch before the meeting. PLEASE sign up to bring a dish. Yes, we know you’re good for it, but it does help planning if you actually tell us what you’re bringing in advance! Please click here to go to the potluck signup sheet. If you have technical difficulties, you can email Audrey Johnson cameo@alum.mit.edu or tell the church office, and we will put your name on it for you. Looking forward to seeing you there!
