In commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the start of the Reformation we are going to take a look back at the document that started it all. Join us on Wednesday October 18th, 2017 at 7pm as we study Martin Luther’s 95 Theses. While the Lutheran church does not hold these are pure doctrine, it is an important stepping stone for Luther to his full realization of the importance of the Scriptures and the theology that we have all come to know and love in the Lutheran church. So join us as we critique Luther, pointing out where he is right and where he is wrong and work to understand this document in its original context as Luther wrote it. Our study of the 95 Theses will be preceded by a brief presentation on the history of the western church from the Great Schism in AD 1054 to Luther nailing the 95 Theses on October 31st, AD 1517.
If you have any questions about this new study please talk to the Pastor, Elders or Paul Edmon if you have any questions.
