Here is a detailed list of street closings and schedules associated with the Boston Marathon throughout the weekend.
The good news is that the 5K run is scheduled for early Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m. (not Sunday!). In the event you’ll be coming into town for Pastor’s Class or the Comfort Dog visit, the 5k will use Commonwealth Avenue half a block from church (to view the route, follow this link: Race Course).
As for Sunday, although it doesn’t appear that there are any significant closings near church, please be aware of street closings on the “Marathon Closings” overview that may affect your drive in. That document may be downloaded here;
In addition, unrelated to the Marathon, there will be excavation activity in the alley next to the church and all parking will be prohibited weekdays between April 21 and April 27. We’ll let you know if there will be any impact on parking for next Sunday, May 26.
