The Wedding at Cana, Paolo Veronese (1562-1563)
Lutheran Essentials meets in the undercroft of the church on Wednesdays at 7pm. You can find the undercroft by going around the back to the parking lot of the church and then down the stairs through the kitchen. Please knock on the door and ring the bell and some one will let you in. You can also join us remotely via our livestream on the FLC YouTube. Our current study is on the Pilgrim’s Progress. As usual we are handing out the book for free. We are also handing out copies of the Book of Concord and the Lutheran Service Book for free.
Our Psalm for the evening will be Psalm 25, and our catechism lesson will be the Fourth Commandment. We will be reading Chapter Two (pg. 33-55). In this chapter we will see what happens when Christian arrives at the Wicket Gate. Then we will journey into the House of the Interpreter to see seven illustrations involving Preachers, Baptism, Patience, Faith, the Kingdom of God, those who fall away from the faith, and the unprepared. We will close with the hymn “Come, Ye Thankful People, Come” (LSB 892).
As always new people are always welcome to this study at any point during the class. Please talk to the Pastor, Elders or Paul Edmon if you have any questions.
