Lutheran Essentials meets in the undercroft of the church on Wednesdays at 7pm. You can find the undercroft by going around the back to the parking lot of the church and then down the stairs through the kitchen. Please knock on the door and ring the bell and some one will let you in. You can also join us remotely via our livestream on the FLC YouTube. Our current study is on the Pilgrim’s Progress. As usual we are handing out the book for free. We are also handing out copies of the Book of Concord and the Lutheran Service Book for free.
Our Psalm for the evening will be Psalm 24, and our catechism lesson will be the Third Commandment. We will be reading Chapter One (pg. 11-32) starting at pg. 17. We will listen to the conversation Christian and Pliable have about the Kingdom of God. After which we will see them struggle with the Swamp of Despair and those who would point Christian to road of morality. We will close with the hymn “The Clouds of Judgment Gather” (LSB 513).
