Christ’s Entry into Jerusalem, Jean Hippolyte Flandrin (1848)

Lutheran Essentials meets in the undercroft of the church on Wednesdays at 8pm following the Divine Service at 7pm. You can also join us remotely via our livestream on the FLC YouTube.  Our current study is on the Ecumenical Creeds.  You can find digital copies of the worksheets for the creeds here: Apostles’ and Nicene Creed; Athanasian Creed.  Printed copies are available at the church. We are also handing out copies of the Book of Concord and the Lutheran Service Book for free.

We will continue our study of the Athanasian Creed with a discussion of the Unity of God.  We will talk about how God is one and yet has a plurality of three Persons.  We will also discuss the various attributes of God such as His eternal nature, His omnipotence, His omnipresence, and His omniscience.  We will close with the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy” (LSB 507)

As always new people are always welcome to this study at any point during the class.  Please talk to the Pastor, Elders or Paul Edmon if you have any questions.
