Your Support is Needed for Bethesda Lutheran Communities

The church office receives requests for financial support from some of our Lutheran missions and, given the lengthy links to sites, the best way to provide some of them is to email the link. Bethesda Lutheran Communities is one of those.

Bethesda’s mission is “to enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through services that share the good news of Jesus Christ.” (click on this link to learn more: bethesdalutherancommunities) Bethesda is in the middle of an Easter challenge grant—a donor will provide up to a $50,000 matching gift during the Easter Season. In addition, the donor made a special request that for every donation received a special Easter card be sent to someone supported by Bethesda (they’ll take care of that for you). Please learn more about Bethesda and consider this request—as of this morning, the challenge had raised only about $4,500—long way to go.

Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dogs

The Comfort Dogs got some national exposure when they appeared on the Hallmark Channel this past Tuesday. Good friends of FLC, some of them will be joining us for Boston Marathon weekend. Look for more information about the weekend, to follow. In the meantime, take a look at the television appearance by going to this link:

Thanks for considering all of the above, including the many upcoming worship opportunities and, while you’re at it, thank God for Friday.
