“Boston Strong” is a phrase we hear a lot around the city these days.  A tremendous source of strength has been all the prayers and words of encouragement that we have received from people in New England, across the country and even internationally.  One recent example was when an elder from Immanuel Lutheran in Downers Grove, Illinois hand delivered a stack of letters that people from his congregation wrote for those of us in Boston after the Marathon Tragedy.  By the way, the folks in Downers Grove were also recovering from some serious flooding.  Thanks be to God for everyone that has taken time to say a prayer, write a note of encouragement, offer generous donations and do whatever possible to be living examples of Christ’s words when He said, “In this world you will have troubles, but take heart, I have overcome the world.”
