Alleluia, Christ is Risen, Indeed He is Risen, Alleluia! Amen!!
Here at First Lutheran Church of Boston we simply stick to the Bible’s Easter promises; “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen” (Luke 24vs5-6) and “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (1 Corinthians 5vs21). After all, who wants to be in their sin!? Much better to believe that Jesus paid the price for our sin, and then rose from the dead, so that we may live a happy, fulfilling and productive life!
Our Mission Statement says it well; “We exist to bring the message and example of Jesus Christ to Greater Boston and beyond.”. No ambiguity here, no wavering as to our purpose, and no assertion that we do this perfectly or even better than anyone else: just a clear pronouncement to our community and beyond, that the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel is of critical importance to us, and it animates our very existence.
