Greetings.
Friday night’s torrential rains succeeded in turning our undercroft into Lake Undercroft. Although not as bad as the flooding of about two years ago in terms of volume and “quality,” water did travel the length of the basement, soaking a few area rugs along the way to the nursery.
The common area of the undercroft, kitchen and ladies room were to be ready for this evening’s Boston Light of the World fellowship, given the timing of the event and knowing the extent of the clean-up last time, children’s Sunday School is canceled.
Adult Bible class may be conducted in that same area in the morning or in the Sanctuary. Campus Connections will be held either on-site or off.
We apologize for the inconvenience and late notice. The problem is more a function of where we’re located in the Back Bay and our connection into city sewers than anything else. Of note is that our twice-annual sewer line clean-out was conducted Friday morning–things could have been worse.
Please be sure to join us for the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. services tomorrow. Pastor Witschy will lead the charge in Pastor’s absence!
God’s Peace!
John
