Are you in town for the 2018 Boston Marathon on April 16th?
Welcome to the Marathon ’Hub’ of the modern world, Boston, in the Wonderful Name of our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Your presence at Sunday Worship with us this year on April 15th at either the 8:00am or 11:00am services would be such a blessing to us. We are one of the closest churches to the Finish Line, and we host the Lutheran Church Charities’ “Comfort Dogs” and their handlers. They’ve visited with us every year as our city recovered from the cruel attack that took place five years ago.
But we are “Boston Strong for Christ” and have every intention of celebrating this year’s Marathon with a vigor second only to the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection! So please come join the many runners and their fans at either service. Or, come visit us during or after the race on Monday for a snack and to meet the Comfort Dogs. First Lutheran’s arms and hearts are open to you as we wish you a wonderful experience with us in this our 179th year of existence as a congregation!
Yours in Christ, Pastor Ingo R Dutzmann

For those who are interested in helping We’re looking for volunteers to bake some treats and, on race day, to help distribute them. Take a shift between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. or so or spend the whole day. We’re working on parking in our lot for visiting canines and volunteers and will try to accommodate all who show up.
