The brick and mortar we call FLC has quite a schedule this weekend.
Music will fill the church beginning with a Schola Cantorum concert Friday evening. That’s followed on Saturday by an all day use-of-church by the Boston Classical Guitar Society from 9 a.m.‎ until 10 p.m. Please note that the group uses almost every corner of the church for the entire day.
Every corner, that is, except for the office where Pastor will teach his Pastor’s Class. “How to Be a Lutheran that Would Make Martin Proud” (my working title, not Pastor’s) begins at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to run until 5 p.m. for prospective members and others to learn more about Lutheranism, what we believe and FLC.
Then there are the dogs. Added to dozens of guitars and Pastor’s students will be the Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dogs. There will be three dogs at FLC Saturday and then visiting with Marathon fans on Monday. One will join us at church on Sunday. NOTE: With Pastor tied up in class and the building in use, we could use a few members to huddle with the handlers and their four-legged friends. If your schedule allows, come on over to FLC Saturday to help make sure the Comfort Dogs are, well, comfortable.
If you have any questions about the weekend, drop a note via email or give the office a call during the day on Friday.
Best,
John
