SYA's goal is to apply St. Paul's advice to Timothy to our own lives as we grow in faith and loving service to others. We are open to all singles and couples from 18 to thirty-something, including undergraduate and graduate students from universities throughout greater Boston as well as young professionals. Scroll down the page to find out about Bible Studies, Events, and Service Projects.

Feel free to contact us -- e-mail Karin and let us know if you have any questions or if you'd just like to check us out.

Bible Studies (updated 9/06)

SYA BIble studies are self-led, participatory, free-wheeling, intellectually challenging, and rooted in a desire to grow in our faith and have God's awesome power work within our lives.

SYA offers two Bible studies held at the church :

Our Sunday morning study (9:30-10:30 a.m.) is discussing The Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles.

The Monday evening study (7:00-8:30 p.m., with dinner provided) meets three times per month. The current study topic is The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

For more information on these studies, please contact Karin.

Other recent studies include:

Service Projects

SYA gets involved with service activities both inside and outside the church. We realize we're an important part of what makes our church tick and we stay involved!

Reading scripture, ushering, leading psalms and sung responses during worship, singing in the choir, and helping prepare the altar for Communion are some of the ways SYA keeps the church volunteer pool ready to serve. We also have several elected church officers for 2005-2007 who are active in SYA.

Outside of the church, examples of some acts of service that SYA have been involved with recently include the Charles River Clean-up, Breast Cancer Walk, and Project Bread.
