Shining in Joy: Caroling in the Courtyard

Members of First Lutheran Church sing Christmas carols for their neighbors in the Back Bay.
Music Minister Dr. Jonathan Wessler led the singers from the piano.
The bakers of First Lutheran Church prepared dozens of cookies and treats to share.
Cookie bags included invitations to Advent and Christmas worship services.
The children greeted neighbors as they approached the church.
Young members of the congregation shared (and sampled) tasty treats with neighbors on the sidewalk.
Surprised drivers were treated to joyful carols, warm cocoa, and home made cookies.
Members give cocoa and cookies to delighted passersby stopped at the traffic light.
Young and old enjoy this yearly tradition, which is a fun chance to greet neighbors and invite them to share in the celebration of Jesus' birth.
