The organ at First Lutheran Church was built by Richards Fowkes and Co. and dedicated in December 2000. The organ has twenty-four stops on two manuals and pedal and has a mechanical tracker action. Designed and voiced in the North German Baroque style, it is the premiere organ in Boston for performing the work of J.S. Bach. In addition to being an instrument par excellence for liturgical worship, the organ is the focus of a regular concert series drawing in performers of national and international acclaim.
