The First Lutheran Church of Boston's Brazilian Mission

In coordination with the NE district of the LCMS, the primary focus of FLC’s Brazilian ministry is the spiritual needs of the Brazilian community in greater Boston.

On Sunday, March 2, 2003, Rev. Augusto Rodolfo Riss was installed as Assistant Pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Boston by Pastor James Keurulainen, President of the New England District.   Pastor Riss returned to Brazil in 2008.  Plans for extension of this ministry are being developed.

The Brazilian Mission currently offers Saturday evening worship services at FLC -- bringing the Lord's good news to Portuguese-speaking communities in Massachusetts.
